What is Denture?

Problems such as eating-drinking disorder, speech disorder and aesthetic appearance arise due to tooth deficiency, which occurs as a result of the loss of natural teeth due to different reasons. The teeth made to eliminate this are called dentures.

How Are Dentures Applied?

In the first examination, after the intraoral condition is checked, it is decided which type of denture will be made. If there is any problem that will affect the denture in the mouth, it is first eliminated and the mouth is made suitable for the denture. Then, measurements are taken from the teeth that have been made suitable. If the denture is tried and suitable for the mouth, the treatment ends.

Dentures Advantages-Disadvantages

As a result of a problem in the mouth, the repair is easier than other treatments.
The disadvantages of dentures may vary depending on the individuals themselves. For example; With the sudden weight gain and loss of the person, playing or hitting the denture may occur.

How Long Are Dentures Used?

Depending on its use, the duration of use of the denture varies from person to person, depending on the intraoral condition. However, as a result of good use, the life of the denture is 5 years. The duration of use can be extended with a doctor’s examination every two years.
