Hello, dear patient. You have had a crown treatment at our hospital. First of all, we wish you a smooth recovery. Now, we would like to inform you about the important points you should pay attention to after your treatment. If you follow these instructions, we would like to remind you that your healing process will be faster and more comfortable.
Crown Care
- After your crowns are cemented, you should not chew anything for approximately 2 hours.
- Cold sensitivity may persist for up to 6 weeks. If it does not subside after this period, please contact us.
- You should brush your teeth twice a day using a medium-soft toothbrush and toothpaste, brushing with circular motions that reach the gum line, and you should use dental floss between all teeth.
- For bridge areas, you should use special dental floss designed for bridges, applying it in the way we have shown you.
- In treatments covering the entire mouth or in cases where using dental floss feels difficult, you should use electronic oral irrigators for oral hygiene.
- You should be careful when consuming hard-shelled foods such as hazelnuts, walnuts, and pistachios, which we do not recommend breaking even with natural teeth.
- If you experience bleeding in your gums, you should contact us immediately and make sure not to miss your annual check-ups.
We have explained in detail what you need to do after your treatment. We would like to remind you once again that we are always by your side for any questions or concerns you may have.
